For example, we had to do some games with each other in which trust was involved. The games which we did was a sort of version of the game
´snake´, but then in real life. This meant that people had to be blindfolded and stand in a line. With use of pinches in the right or left arm we had to guide each other. The goal of the game was to collect as many items which were put on the floor.
For the next exercise you really needed to trust the others. What you had to do was let yourself fall while someone behind you would catch you. It was very important that you trusted the other otherwise it could go wrong.
After the exercises we got to a classroom and some people who had already been to Africa told us some stories and handy tips. This was very nice because we could asks them questions about all sorts of things.
When the two girls had left we had to give presentations. The group was divided in smaller groups who each had a topic to talk about. I had to talk about ´apartheid´.
The next thing what was on the to-do list of that day was lunch. Everyone had brought something to eat which together formed a big lunch.
The last thing what we did was talk about some important stuff, like what to do when someone close to you passes away during the trip, and we also set up some rules for when we are in Afrika.
Overall I thought this day was very fun and helpful!
